Today is a New Day!

Not too long ago, I woke up early to start my day. To be honest, it was a struggle. I was tired, and I didn’t feel like exercising or even getting out of bed.

Even though it is difficult for me, there is something refreshing about getting up early. I’m not sure why. Maybe the day just seems to be full of possibilities.

Starting a New Day

There is something healing about starting a new day. I don’t know about you, but in my life I have a tendency to get bogged down with feelings of disappointment and regret. Maybe I made a mistake, and I’m frustrated with myself. Perhaps I hurt someone I cared about, and I continue to carry around guilt because of what I did. Maybe I’m not exactly where I want to be in my life, and I ruminate about the poor choices I made along the way.

A Chance to Start Again

A new day is a chance to begin again. When the sun sets in the night, and rises again in the morning, it’s a reminder to me that there’s forgiveness and grace for the mistakes I made. If I’m frustrated with some of the life choices I have made, a new day is an opportunity to make different choices and experience different outcomes.

A new day is an invitation to leave the past behind and step forward into something great.

Let’s do it!

First of all “Good Morning”. Yesterday was a tough day. I don’t believe that I was at my best. The effort was there but the results were not what I had hoped for. I have a good team around me and hate to let them down. Today is a new day and perhaps I can help another just as others have helped me. Thank you for bringing me out of yesterdays rut.

Catching up on your blog posts as I’m not commuting to work any more. Thank you far another candid, motivating post. Happy Easter! This post of renewal seems fitting for the times.

In Canada, we have a beloved author who once wrote “…tomorrow is a new day, with no mistakes in it yet.” This is spoken by the character Anne Shirley in L.M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables. The whole series is worth the read if you have the time these days.

    To Mark, bon courage!
